This page walks through the following attributes of the Manage Access table:
There are three permission levels, which you can set individually for each document in a project under each user or team: Read, Comment, and Edit.
Note: Regardless of how many documents a user has access to, the project folder will always show the total number of versions in the project.
Read access grants a user the ability to view a document but nothing else. Users with Read access can see comments added by other users, but they cannot add, edit, or delete comments.
Comment access grants a user Read access plus the ability to comment on documents.
Edit access grants a user Comment access plus the ability to rename a document version and hide FlipLine change callouts. For more information on hiding changes in a FlipLine, see this article. The ability to create document markups is coming soon.
Note: after editing permissions in the Manage Access table, you must click save for the changes to take effect.
Use the All Documents row to set permissions for all documents in the project at once for a particular user or team.
You can also turn off access to all documents in a project at once using the All Documents row. Please note that the all documents row does not control whether future uploads are visible to users. If you want a user to get access to future uploads automatically, you must make them a Project Admin. Only Project Admins get access to new uploads automatically.
Project Admins have edit access to all documents in a project folder. In addition, they can rename the project and edit the Manage Access table.
Note: only Project Admins can upload documents and create FlipLines in a project.
Free Plan project admins can upload unlimited documents as long as the project author has a Pro Plan or an Enterprise account.
