Hiding FlipLine Changes

Hiding FlipLine Changes

May 2024

This page walks through how to toggle on/off number, text, or visual change callouts in a FlipLine. There are two ways to do this:

  1. Click any change on the document canvas
  2. Go to the Changes menu in the FlipLine viewer

1. Toggling individual change callouts in the document canvas

To turn off an individual change, simply click the change callout in the document canvas.

You can tell the change is hidden because a reset button will appear at the top of the FlipLine viewer:

This reset button returns the current page back to its original settings, not the entire document. You can find more options and information about hidden changes by going to the Changes menu.

2. Toggling change callouts in the Changes menu

By clicking the Changes dropdown menu at the top left of the document viewer, you can find more options and information regarding change callouts in your FlipLine.

In this menu, you can toggle off/on text change or visual change callouts for the current page in the document or for all pages in the document. Note that text changes include number changes in this context. If there are any pages that have hidden change callouts, it will be noted in the All Pages section, similar to the above screenshot.

Note: Only users with edit access can see hidden changes. Users with read or comment access cannot tell that changes are hidden. Additionally, any new PDF of the FlipLine will not include these hidden change callouts. For more information on viewing permissions, see this article.
